Growth in wine team continues

Managing Director of Palandri Wines Ltd, Gordon Grant, is pleased to welcome some exciting new members to the company’s growing team.

Andrew Blythe has been appointed Global Sales and Marketing Director. Andrew recently returned from Europe where he’s been managing the Palandri Wines’ Europe Operations since its inception in 2001 and was responsible for the overall direction and management of Palandri Wines Europe. He has been with Palandri Wines since September 2000, commencing his employment with the company as Product Manager and developing and launching the domestic product range.

Thena Johnstone has been appointed National Key Accounts Manager. Thena brings with her substantial experience in sales and begun her career in the pharmaceutical industry and consumer cosmetic products. For the past four years she was part of a national sales team servicing National Liquor accounts including Coles Myer, Dan Murphy’s and Woolworths. A welcome addition to the Palandri team, Thena joins the company at the beginning of November.

Garry Jones has been appointed State Manager for Western Australia. Garry brings a wealth of experience to the new role having previously worked with Mildara Blass Wines, then as State Manager with Evans and Tate Wine Group for three years and more recently with McWilliams Wines On-trade sales team. Garry has substantial experience in Western Australian market having been responsible for driving the Evans and Tate brand for more than three years.

Finally, Michael McPherson has been appointed Trade Marketing Executive for Palandri Wines. Michael has spent the past six months as Marketing Communications Manager with RAC Travel and prior to that he spent 10 years with the Yalumba Wine Company in NSW in differing roles including Brand Manager and National Publishing Service Manager. During that time Michael was responsible for developing and implementing activity for the Yalumba portfolio and affiliated brands. Michael’s new role will be to maintain and support the growing success of the Palandri brands in the domestic and global market.

Gordon said the recruitment of Andrew, Thena, Garry and Michael would add to and complement the company’s existing experienced and talented team.
