WINEMAKING AT 3 OCEANS
3 Oceans Winemaking philosophy is simple; grow great fruit, nuture it through fermentation and maturation and to bottle, letting all the vineyard terrior express itself in the wine.  The wines show an abundance of primary fruit aromas and flavours, softer, rich structured tannins and complexity great fruit means great wines.
Blending under senior Winemaker, Ben Roodhouse, the 3 Oceans winemaking  team looks at blending wines to reflect the 3 Oceans philosphy, intensity, finesse, structure, and distinctive fruit qualities from the cool climate regions of Margaret River and Frankland River.

With a number of vineyards and small  batches  to choose from, the winemaking team has the ability to select  wines to suit the style being made, which guarantees consistent high quality wines.


BARREL AGEING

We use French and a small number of American and Hungarian oak barriques from a number of premium cooperages.  3 Oceans Wine Company uses oak very carefully as we do not want the oak to dominate the varietal flavours in the wine ... balance is  king !
