2004 Vintage Report

The Palandri Group crushed a total of 3,328 tonnes of premium quality fruit this vintage with 63.7% allocated for the Margaret River Wine Business (MRWB). 

The Palandri Frankland River vineyard Project supplied 80% of the crush and contracted growers in Frankland, Margaret River and Geographe supplied the balance of fruit. 

The winemaking team have confirmed that vintage 2004 was a flawless vintage. 

The ‘x-factor’ that defined the vintage this year was the weather. The cooler summer was spotted with short stages of hot weather, which then mellowed into mild, mostly favourable weather conditions. 

This ideal situation was the catalyst for sound fruit development across all the varieties in 2004.
