The 2013 vintage is in and what a great vintage!
Vintage 2013, once again produced another excellent vintage. The fruit from the Margaret River and Frankland River regions of Western Australia were once again a standout nation-wide . Yields were a little lower in 2013 but the quality was impressive across all of our grape varieties.
Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc are already looking like the highlight whites of the season. It was considerably cooler across the Margaret River and Frankland River regions towards the end of February, which is exactly what is needed for the white varietals to completely ripen with excellent natural acidity and vibrant fruit flavours.
With the cooler conditions the tannins ripened in sync and steadily with the fruit flavours and acidity, producing bold flavours and tremendous balance.
Keep an eye out for these wines once released.
